CV (Curriculum Vitae) as your self marketing tool

Hello everyone!
It's time for our online class with some new issues to talk about  J

Sooner or later you will find yourselves in a situation like this:

Before you officially step into adulthood and start out looking for a job, it is essential for you to write a professional CV that will represent you in the best light. It should be your self marketing tool that will give you a chance to show off all your attributes that can make you a perfect choice for the potential employers.

Your CV should be your creative and meaningful personal profile, with clearly identified qualifications and achievements, along with your personal skills and abilities that are relevant for your future career. It has to make you stand out among hundreds of other candidates applying for the same job. It has to be concise and easy to read, updated every now and then and tailored to suit the requirements of each particular job you are applying for. And of course, arm yourself with a lot of confidence, self esteem and the belief that you will really find the job you are looking for.  Good luck!

  1. Yes, I wrote my CV but it is too small now. An ideal job for me is a educator in kindergarden. I hope my dream will come true and for a few years I will be working that job. I think that in the future will be the same situation because the young people are passive. We must do something to change this situation.

    1. Dear Erna,
I'm glad that you have already written your CV. Although it seems to be too short right now, don't worry, there will be more and more good things to include as the time goes by and you continue to upgrade your knowledge and skills. I hope you will become a kindergarten teacher very soon.
I am happy you recognize that young people must take an active role in creating their own future.

    1. Dear Muamera,
It's nice that you already have your CV, as your colleague Erna, and I hope you will have more and more to offer in the near future. I wish you good luck with your studies and starting to work in a kindergarten. It would be nice if all young people could find a job as soon as they complete their studies.

    2. Dear Muamera,
I believe that it is important for us to get some expirience during our time in college. We can get some extra expirience and knowledge through informal education, seminars, workshops and volunteering. These are all things that can fill up our CV and help us to get the job easier and to gain some advantage over other candidats.
      Best regards,
      Ena.

  8. Writing CV is nothing new to me. I've had one for almost 4 years now, and over the time it just grew and expanded. Hopefully, I will add more accomplishments to it.
My perfect job is to work with children, no matter what kind of a job it is.
Speaking of problem of unemployment in our country, until young people decide to wake up and do something about it, nothing will change. As long as everyone just sits back, watch, and just hopes for the best, change will never come.
    With warmest regards,

  13. Dear All,
I think this is a very important issue and will face everybody of us soon.I have been surprised with the lack of knowledge regarding this subject. So far, I did not think about it, this lesson was a strong motivation for me to start writing my CV. When I read this text again, I arrange my thoughts about how it would looks like and what are the most important points that need to be included there, and since its a marketing sheet for me, I will put all my efforts to be creative, so I wish it will be high qualified, meaningful, with the European criteria's in writing CVs. I like to notice here that my seeking job is a primary school teacher...

    Best Regards

  14. Hello everyone, I wrote my first CV immediately after graduating the high school. Since then, it has only been used as a "framework" and every year I add new achievements, skills, experiences, knowledge, new abilities. Compared to my first CV I progressed a lot and I'm really proud of myself, I love to open it often and see what has changed for several years. It puts the smile on my face every time, when on one paper I see a few sentences and on the other full sheet. I hope that after graduation it will be completed and that will help me find a job in my profession, something I want for all of my colleagues as well. Elvida
